Introduction To Robotics, INF3480 Final Exam

This is the final exam of a course called INF3480(introduction to Robotics) at university of Oslo. You can download the final exam by clicking here. First comes the English version and the norwegian version follows afterwards. I think this course was too hard in comparison with just 10 student point. I really did study alot to understand things and I think lots of things should change if future students are supposed to take this course and learn enough without having too many difficulties(as we had). The course started with a big crowed of people and ended up with 18 students taking the final exam. I think more practical stuffs and Robot showing gives more motivation to keep going and endure difficulties on the way …

Introduction To Circuit Analysis, INF1410

This is the final exam of a course called INF1410(Introduction To Circuit Analysis) at university of Oslo. You can download the final exam by clicking here. First comes the English version and the norwegian version follows afterwards. I personally enjoyed this course, but as the course was a brand new course at UiO, so it was not so structured and things could be done in a much more better way. As my suggestion was to have more practical stuffs than just theory …

Discrete Mathematics, MAT1030 Final Exam

This is the final exam of a course called MAT1030(Discrete Mathematics) at university of Oslo. You can download the final exam by clicking here. First comes the English version and the norwegian version follows afterwards.

Image Processing Final Exam

This is the Image Processing final Exam that I took today. You can download the exam paper by clicking here. This course is called INF2310, Digital Image Processing and is actually introduction to deep Image Processing at university of Oslo as can be continued by INF4300(bachelor course) and INF5300(master course) later.

Robotic+Image Processing summer project

I am planning for a summer project these days. This semester, I have taken two difficult, but very interesting courses. These two courses are Robotics(INF3480) and Image Processing(INF2310). Although I’ve had big challenges with the good mathematical understanding of these two courses, but I am deeply interested in both and would like to combine what I’ve learnt in theory, in a practical project. The plan is to combine Robotics and Image Processing to make a portable robot with more than basic Image Processing abilities. The following drawing is just an imaginary plan of the final robot. Of course I would be happy to be able to finish half of this and I believe I would come to changes many of these fantacies with realities and there might be fundemental changes in the plan on the way. I am sure I am going to learn alot soon :-)

Imaginary Robot

Imaginary Robot

The imaginary robot is supplied by a wireless transmitter and GPS adapter(The anthenas are just symbols and are not going to be there). The robot is supposed to be portable and move around to a desired location by the help of GPS adapter. She would also be able to send the information(a film stream or even sounds) about her environment back to the lab by the help of the wireless LAN(Wireless Internet or a dedicated wireless LAN). The cameras are supposed to capture the film stream and send the perspective(Not Flat) pictures to the screen at the lab. Also same cameras will be used for Image Processing operations(locally at the robot by laptop or at the lab). The plan up here is showing that the robot actually is carrying a light Eee laptop to implement image processing at place right after they are captured by the cameras. There is also another scenario that the robot can carry just a combination of Micro Processors that sends all the information to the lab and the information would be processed in the lab and would be sent back to the robot. There would be proabably some delays and I am not sure if this system is actually practical.

I am not going to be alone at this project and I am going to have some friends with me. The plan is to do this project step by step and keep it simple at first and at every step we would try to expand our previous simple model to a more advanced one. The duration of this project would be up to the end of next semester(December 2009) and would probably will be my(an others if they are intrested to continue) bachelor project.

UiOToolbar 0.2, small update

UioToolbar Version 0.2 is available. For downloading you can click here. There are few small improvments and the most usefull one is that by pressing Enter key the user would see the search result at university of Oslo’s database and not Google which is not the main purpose of making this toolbar.

UiOToolbar project …

UiOToolbar is a mini project of mine and is developed to be used by few users at my work. This toolbar is a Firefox toolbar and is developed by Javascript codes. You can download the file by clicking here.

UiOToolbar

UiOToolbar 0.1

The toolbar has number of buttons which makes daily surfing easier for staffs at university of Oslo. The buttons would give the user the power to search directly from the toolbar in universities(UiO) database. User can also search both Google and Google images database directly from the toolbar.

I should mention that this is not an official University of Oslo pakcage and it was just developed locally by me to help some of my colleagues.

Musician website project

Musician website project is my latest project. The project has passed negotiation and pricing phase and is actually a small one(static website). My role in this project is the group’s spokesman and project leader at the same time. I will be also taking part at the web designing phase(Not heavy flash implementations). The project would hopefully begin as soon as possible, if we recieve the needed files from customer. For more details you can visit the project’s page by clicking here.

Basic Image Processing App., Easter Project

I have decided to develop one basic Image processing apllication during easter holidasy. After easter I will post the application(open source).

Robotic assignment-1, INF3480

My Robotic assignment number of one of the Robotic course at university of Oslo(UiO), INF3480. You can download the assignment and the answers by clicking here(PDF file containing comments and Matlab files containing functions for Kinematic and Inverse Kinematic motions).

This assignment contains designing the robots figure, design, kinematic, inverse kinematic, Jacobian matrices and singularities.

Not all my answers are right and my group teacher comments follows as well at the end of the PDF file(The text is in Norwegian).
